A party in breach of contract is liable only for consequential loss that was within the reasonable contemplation of the parties at the time of contracting; where the defender (an electricity supplier) had no actual or imputed knowledge of the pursuer's special need for an uninterrupted continuous concrete pour, the demolition and reconstruction loss flowing from a supply interruption was too remote and not recoverable.
