Key Principle

A firm is vicariously liable under s10 of the Partnership Act 1890 for a partner's equitable wrongdoing (including dishonest assistance in a breach of trust) where the wrongful conduct is so closely connected with acts the partner was authorised to do that it may fairly be regarded as done in the ordinary course of the firm's business.
