Turf Club Auto Emporium Pte Ltd v Yeo Boong Hua

The Court of Appeal recognised for the first time in Singapore that Wrotham Park (negotiating) damages are available for breach of contract, holding them to be compensatory (not gain-based/restitutionary) in nature and awardable only in a narrow class of cases where there is a remedial lacuna because orthodox compensatory damages and specific relief are unavailable yet justice requires a remedy.
