Under section 4(2) of the Contempt of Court Act 1981 the court may order the postponement of media reports of legal proceedings where this is necessary to avoid a substantial risk of prejudice to the administration of justice in those or in related pending criminal proceedings, the order being confined to what is necessary so as to preserve open justice as far as possible.
