Drennan v Star Paving Co

A subcontractor's bid on which a general contractor foreseeably and reasonably relies in computing and submitting its own bid becomes irrevocable through promissory estoppel, the reliance supplying the place of consideration via an implied subsidiary promise not to revoke.
