Free Grammar School of John Lyon v Mayhew

A tenant who serves a counter-notice asserting an unwillingness to give up possession and applies to the court for a new tenancy may be estopped by his conduct from later disputing the validity of an otherwise defective landlord's section 25 notice under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.
