Key Principle
Where a will has been duly executed by a testator who had testamentary capacity, the court should normally approach the question of knowledge and approval as a single holistic exercise asking whether the testator understood and approved the contents, rather than mechanically applying a two-stage 'suspicious circumstances' test.
