Mountain Ash Portfolio Ltd v Vasilyev

On an application for security for costs the court retains a broad discretion under the CPR and, where it is satisfied that the conditions are met, may order a sum that is proportionate to the realistic costs at risk and the strength or weakness of the respondent's case rather than the full sum claimed.
