The exclusion of agents operating on a commodity exchange or in a commodity market from the Commercial Agents (Council Directive) Regulations 1993 applies to a diamond broker operating within an organised commodity market, so such an agent is not entitled to the Regulations' compensation/indemnity rights, but may still recover unpaid commission under the parties' contract.
