Onassis v Vegottis
Onassis and Calogeropoulos v Vergottis [1968] 2 Lloyd's Rep 403
Key Principle
The assessment of a witness's credibility involves more than demeanour: a court must consider whether the witness is truthful, whether an honest witness has accurately perceived and registered events, and whether his memory has since been distorted by the passage of time, unconscious bias, wishful thinking or discussion with others.
