Key Principle

Where one party introduces another to a valuable business opportunity at that party's request and the parties have a sufficient meeting of minds to form a contract for the introduction/services, the introducer is entitled to a reasonable charge for those services under an implied term as to remuneration (section 15 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982), even where the defendant has a stated policy against paying introduction fees.
