Products Inc & Anr v Zebra Technologies Europe
[2022] EWHC 640 (Ch)
Key Principle
A foreign (overseas) parent company is not validly served within the jurisdiction at the address of its English subsidiary under CPR 6.9 unless, applying Adams v Cape Industries, the parent itself carries on activities or has a place of business at that address; the mere existence of a UK subsidiary does not give the parent a place of business there.
