A foreign (here PRC) money judgment may be enforced at common law in England, absent any reciprocal-enforcement treaty, where it is final and conclusive, for a fixed sum, and given by a court that was internationally competent because the defendant submitted to its jurisdiction or was resident there when proceedings began.
