Interim relief is capable of being granted in support of an unfair prejudice petition under s.996 of the Companies Act 2006 in appropriate cases, and such relief need not be confined to what is strictly 'essential'; the court retains a broad discretion, applying ordinary interim-injunction principles, to preserve the position pending trial of the petition.
