Key Principle
A director who causes a company to apply for a government-backed Bounce Back Loan by stating a turnover figure he knew or ought to have known to be grossly overstated, thereby obtaining funds far exceeding the company's entitlement, falls below the standards of probity and competence appropriate for a person fit to be a director and is unfit under s.6 of the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986.
