Key Principle

On an application to commit for contempt for breach of an injunction, defence of another may in principle justify entering a prohibited safety zone where the contemnor held a genuine (even if mistaken) belief that intervention was necessary to prevent immediate harm and did no more than was reasonably necessary; the contempt must be proved to the criminal standard.
