challenging awardsextension of timeenforcement
Terna Bahrain Holding Co WLL v Al Shamsi
[2012] EWHC 3283 (Comm)
Key Principle
An extension of time to challenge an arbitration award under sections 67/68 of the Arbitration Act 1996 will only be granted where the interests of justice require an exceptional departure from the 28-day time limit, and a deliberate, tactically motivated delay is fatal even to a meritorious challenge.
