TIG v TIH
TIG v TIH [2015] SGHCF 12, [2016] 1 SLR 1218 (Singapore High Court (Family Division), not Court of Appeal)
Key Principle
Where matrimonial assets must be divided in respect of a foreign polygamous (non-Muslim) marriage, the court applies a pragmatic, broad-brush adaptation of the ANJ v ANK structured approach, modified to accommodate three parties (the husband and both wives) by taking the accumulated asset pool as the starting point and ascertaining each party's direct and indirect contributions to it.
